Rio rosewood is one of the most beautiful and expressive woods on earth. Its irregular pattern (ears) and its diverse play of colours result in highly decorative and beautiful interior designs. Brazil imposed an export ban on roundwood as early as 1968. Rio rosewood is only available from old stocks, otherwise it falls under the Species Protection Convention.
