Mulberry veneer with heart - perfect for the upmarket interior design
There is no difference between sapwood and heartwood. The wood is reddish-white, later darkening to brownish and essentially strongly reminiscent of pear. Annual rings and growth zones are always clearly visible. The wood is beautifully flamed, fine but short-grained, heavy, medium-hard and strongly shrinking. It shows increased red heart formation with increasing age.
