Yellow Tulip veneer - ideal for upmarket interiors
The sapwood is cream to light yellowish or greyish white and broad to very broad (4-15 cm). The facultative colour core is clearly set off from the sapwood and is mostly yellowish to olive green (darkening to olive brown). The numerous, small pores are scattered. Growth zone boundaries are marked on the cross-sections by narrow parenchyma bands; however, these only have a minor influence on the appearance of the wood. Alternating twisted growth is not present. Predominantly light and plain wood of fine structure with a shiny surface.
