American cherry veneer

American cherry veneer - ideal for upmarket interiors

Amerikanische Kirsche Furnier
American cherry veneer

The American cherry veneer in Germany, also traded under the trade name sweet cherry veneer, is a particularly good veneer wood. A fast-growing tree that reaches an age of about 100 years, a height of up to 20 m and a diameter of up to 100 cm. The sapwood and heartwood are slightly different. The sapwood is narrow and yellowish. The heartwood is pinkish-brown, darkening during drying and with time. The American cherry tree produces a particularly good veneer wood, which darkens more than cherry wood from Europe. The wood is always preferred when a piece of furniture is to be characterised by balanced and dignified forms. Due to the simple, elegant and balanced wood image, cherry wood always lends the object a certain timelessness.
